APBHRANSH

In Hyderabad most of the people spell my name as “ADITHYA” instead of “ADITYA.”
"INDORE" becomes "IN DOOR "
This will be the case for most of the times when you try spelling or pronouncing a word of some other language. When it comes to “ta” and “da”, converting from hindi to some other Indian languages becomes a bizarre.
You can see the result:
Yesterday, I went with my team out for dinner at Shikaar Restaurant.
When we were looking at the Menu Card:
Starters, Soups... Main course!!
Instead of spelling “TADKE WALI DAL”
It was written as “THARKE WALI DAL.”

WHAT A TRIO

Industrialists, politicians and film industry people are amongst the most celebrated celebrities of any place. Every one knows them, the media hypes them and the controversies surround them. They are the most adulated and followed in some or the other way. All three of them decide the future of the country and its people. What a beautiful combination will it be, if all three of them join hands?
The question is “what will they get?”
It’s a win – win situation for all of them. All of them earn good will on the name of other. There projects are given a high priority in the state. The film star gets more media hype which in turn is beneficial for the politician and industrialist as the film star is acting as a brand ambassador for both of them. OR the answer can be better answered by Mulayam Singh, Amitabh, Subroto (sahara) and Anil Ambani .

DON and now KBC

Amitabh Bacchan, the Bollywood icon is no more limited to the film and television industry. His popularity and brand image needs no description. The person, who has been a significant role player in the success of some of the best of the films of Bollywood has been continuously compared and evaluated with the new DON of Hindi Cinema. Shah Rukh Khan , playing the role of Amitabh in the new DON and taking the seat of Amitabh in Kaun Banega Crore Pati -3 gives a clear idea of what’s going on in SRK’s mind. No doubt, Amitabh has a better image and profile as compared to Shah Rukh . With his seniority and wonderful acting with versatility, Big B leaves every one behind and definitely falls in the “League of Elites,” not just in Bollywood but across the Film industry in the world. He is one of those successful people in the Hindi Cinema who has been playing an active role right from 70s to 90s and to the starting of the 21st century.
In the downs of Amitabh’s chequred life in 90s, he saw a dramatic decline in his popularity. If I remember it correctly, after the failure of ABC Corporation, Amitabh’s venture, he again came back with an image of sophisticated and chevalier as an anchor of Kaun Banega Crore Pati. Though, Shah Rukh could not flush out the new DON as big boxoffice hit as the Amitabh’s older DON, his success or failure as a keystone for the KBC-3 is still awaited.

BJN in HYD

BJN Group is a group of restaurants and pubs, holding around 8 to 10 places in Bangalore and 4-5 each in Hyderabad , Pune and Mumbai. Being a person who enjoys eating out a lot and having stayed in Bangalore for about 10 months gave me the opportunity to visit all the restaurants of this group. I loved eating out in all the restaurants of BJN. Sahib Sindh Sultan and Bombay Post were my most favored places amongst all.
All there restaurants are on different theme and the effort they put in in making those themes visible right from waiting for catching your table in the restaurant to paying the bill. The interiors, ambience, dress of waiters, the names of the dishes in the menu card and the music played, all fall in sync with the theme.
Two days back I got the chance to Sahib Sindh Sultan (SSS) in Hyderabad. Now, along with Angeethi and SSS, they have firangi pani (a pub), Indijoe. SSS, firangi pani and Indijoe have recently opened in City Center mall in Banjara Hills.
I had guests last weekend and I took them to SSS. They were all flattered by the ambience . Sahib Sindh Sultan was the name of the first train started by Britishers in India. No doubt, BJN has tried their best giving out all the luxuries possible and have made the ambience perfectly according to the theme. After waiting outside for about 10 minutes we got a table in beautifully made Train inside the restaurant. Train is standing on clearly visible wheels and tracks with pebbles lying between the parallel sides of the track .Train’s interior gives a very rich look of the train and reminds you of the royal-British. (No doubt, that royalness came from money of Indians). It has got small and round fans how we have it in Indian trains and the waiters and attendants are dressed up in Ticket Checkers attire. Service was superb and you don’t have to ask how the food was. It has to be fabulous, it’s BJN you know.
Bombay Post, Bangalore, has been made on Bollywood theme. Angeethi , in Hyderabad , Bangalore and Mumbai is based on Punjabi Dhaba theme .
